C2i Alumni - Data Collector

Zachary Idris is a Data Collector for the College Crisis Initiative and is a Political Science major at Davidson College. He is a member of the football team and Phi Delta Theta. Additionally, Zachary is a campus leader of Davidson College Students for Biden.

Amanda Lee is a senior Psychology and Political Science double major at Davidson College. Amanda is interested in working in health policy and helping to address health disparities and improve access to affordable health care. She is additionally passionate about gender equality and increasing women’s representation in politics. On campus, Amanda competes on the Mock Trial team and is also a member of Turner Eating House, the Health Justice Committee, and Davidson College Democrats. In her free time, Amanda enjoys running and spending time with her friends.

Emily Rankin graduated from Davidson College in 2022 with a BS in Biology. Emily was a Data Collector with C2i. She was on the pre-veterinary track at Davidson College majoring in Biology and minoring in Health and Human Values with interests in public health and music. With her passion for public health, Emily was the Campus Leader of the ONE organization, an organization working to eradicate preventable disease and extreme poverty by 2030 through participation in meetings with congressional offices. Additionally, Emily worked as a Technology and Innovation Student Consultant, a Gig Hub Consultant for the Hurt Hub at Davidson College, and was a member of the Rusk Eating House. Emily enjoys many hobbies like sewing, piano, and ukulele, but her heart will always be with the animals of the community.

Emily currently works as a medical scribe with Internal Medicine Associates.

Thomas (Tommy) Cromie is a Data Collector and student at Davidson College majoring in Political Science with an intended minor in Economics. Tommy is interested in public policy and how institutional factors of higher education impact voting, specifically the difficulties young voters and people of color face in casting their vote. He is the co-chair of Davidson Votes, which works to register, educate and increase engagement rates across all groups of students. He is a student-athlete on the Men’s Swimming and Diving team, swimming butterfly and freestyle. He is on the Honor Council and is a member of the Davidson College Democrats. Outside of his studies, Tommy enjoys working on political campaigns and connecting with voters.
