Last year, student spring break trips were associated with COVID-19 spread both on college campuses and in local communities according to research by Daniel Mangrum. This year, many schools have opted for non-traditional spring break plans to encourage students not to travel. With data collected by C2i, this map displays each institution’s spring break plan. Schools in the Northeast opted for a mix of plans, with no spring break or non-traditional breaks being the most common. In the South, Midwest, and West there is a greater presence of regular spring break scheduled.
