Jamie Montagne

Data Collector

Jamie is from Spartanburg, SC, and is majoring in Political Science with a minor in East Asian Studies at Davidson College. She has previously attended the Middlebury College Chinese Language School. Before attending Davidson, Jamie lived in the Shandong region of China, where her work as an English teacher catalyzed her interest in education. Jamie is extending her interest in East Asia to help with data-collection on Dr. Shelley Rigger’s quantitative research on Taiwan’s youth.

Jamie has previously served as an E-Board Member of Alternative Breaks and frequently volunteers at the Ada Jenkins Center. Jamie is an avid tennis player. She is currently interning at Ada Jenkins this summer as an educational program facilitator. Jamie is the recipient of the Leona M. Goodell Memorial Award and hopes to pursue a career in government service upon graduation.
