Amelia Solum

Data Collector

Amelia is a data collector on the research team for the College Crisis Initiative. She is a sophomore at Davidson intending to study Public Health. She is interested in expanding quality and affordable access to healthcare, particularly in rural communities. Amelia has worked on data collections about mask and testing policies in higher education. She is currently working on a paper analyzing how natural disasters affect higher education institutions as well as a project with a research affiliate at the University of Illinois looking at the outlying factors that affect COVID mortality rates in college towns. Outside of C2i, Amelia is the Education and Promotion Chair for Turner Eating House, is interning with Fertility Within Reach, and enjoys hiking and reading.
