Luis S. Toledo
Luis S. Toledo is an admission counselor at Colby College. At Colby, Luis is responsible for program development and a travel and recruitment region including Arkansas, Louisiana, the five boroughs of New York City, and Long Island. Luis graduated from Davidson in May 2020 majoring in Psychology and Education Policy and Human Development. He is a Posse Scholar alumnus and is originally from Miami, Florida. Luis’s research focuses on how education policy decisions made at the national, state and institutional levels influence each period of human development. He studies how these different levels of authority respond to times of crisis. His research thus far has focused on the governmental response to gun violence incidents in K-12 schools and institutional response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. While at Davidson, Luis was one of the Lead Senior Admissions Fellows at the Office of Admission and Financial Aid. He also worked as a Research Assistant for the Office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs under Dr. Christopher Marsicano. Luis is a co-author on the paper “Tracking Campus Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic” along with several other members of the College Crisis Initiative. Luis is one of the original C2i research student fellows and had a substantial role in getting C2i off the ground.
